Lula Mason, 81, of 912 1/2 W. Market St, died at 8:45 p.m. Wednesday in Culver Hospital. She was a member of Youngs Chapel Christian Church. Born Sept 16, 1893, in Montgomery County, she was a daughter of William and Abbey Swank. She married William Everett Mason in 1913. He, four brothers and two sisters are deceased. Surviving are a son, Robert Mason of Rt 1, Crawfordsville; a daughter, Mrs. Floyd (Hazel) Davis of Crawfordsville; a brother, Elmer Swank of Rt 3, Crawfordsville; seven grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Powers Funeral Home here with the Rev. Jack Wachenschwanz of Smartsburg Christian Church officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
